How Softknack Technologies Pvt Ltd collects, uses, protects, and lets you delete your data — in plain English. This policy covers softknack.com and every Softknack product.
Softknack Technologies Pvt Ltd ("Softknack", "we", "us") is a company registered in Chennai, India. We build an AI-first business software suite — including SK Voice, SK Chat and SK CRM — used by businesses to run their operations. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and the control you have over it. Where we process data on behalf of a business customer (for example, leads that flow into their CRM), that business is the data controller and we act as their processor.
We only collect what a feature actually needs. Concretely:

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your customers' contact data to build advertising profiles.
We process personal data on the lawful bases of consent (which you or your customer give), performance of a contract, and our legitimate interest in running the service securely.
When a business connects its Facebook or Instagram Page to Softknack, and a person submits one of that business's lead-ad forms, Meta sends us that lead (name, phone, email and the answers on the form) so it lands in the business's SK CRM. We use it only to deliver that lead to the business that ran the ad and to enable the follow-up they configured. We access this data through Meta's official Graph API under the permissions the Page owner has granted, and we honour Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We never share one business's leads with another.
We similarly integrate with other services (for example, a business's own calendar or telephony provider) strictly to deliver the feature the business turned on.

We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as the law requires. When a business closes its account, we delete or anonymise the associated personal data within a reasonable period, save for records we must retain for legal reasons.
Under the India DPDP Act, 2023 (and comparable laws), you can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. If your data was collected by a business using Softknack (for example, you submitted a lead ad), that business is the controller — contact them, or contact us and we will route your request.
To delete your personal data held by Softknack, email privacy@softknack.com from the address associated with your data, or the phone number that was submitted, with the subject line "Data deletion request". Tell us what to delete (for example, "the lead I submitted to <business name>").
We will verify the request, delete the data we control, and forward it to the relevant business customer where they are the controller. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days and confirm by email. If your data reached us through Facebook or Instagram, this same channel serves as our data-deletion instructions for the Meta platform.
Softknack is built on a multi-tenant platform with strict tenant isolation (row-level security), encrypted transport, signed service-to-service calls, and least-privilege access. We restrict who can access personal data internally and log access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data and will notify affected users and regulators of a material breach as required by law.
